Description:

In the early 1980s, textual space adventures gained significant popularity across home computers. These games were heavily influenced by the "Trek" games that had previously dominated mainframes and mini computers.
In this particular version, players are given the task of tracking down and eliminating 7 warbirds within 35 stardates. Navigating through the galaxy, players can perform both short and long-range scans, followed by either laser or missile attacks. Whenever energy or missile supplies run low, players can easily recharge by docking with a starbase.
Boasting a faithful recreation of the "Space War" BASIC program originally run on the Tandy/Radio Shack TRS-80, this app serves as a nostalgic homage to the classic game. Originally distributed on the demo tape of the EACA Video Genie / System 80, a TRS-80 model 1 level II clone, this completely new creation strives for utmost accuracy. It even includes the charming quirks present in the original.
The game is available free of charge and remains ad-free. However, if players enjoy the experience and wish to support independent app development, they have the option to purchase one of the available upgrades. It's important to note that these upgrades consist of purely whimsical and non-essential features. So, for those who prefer not to spend any money, they can still fully enjoy the complete game.
